Our History

In January, 1994, a spiritual tarry revival was conducted at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Adolphus V. Clinton, 319 321 Alden Street in the City of Orange New Jersey. During the tarry a revelation came that the Lord will use most of his people present to spread his words to many.

Attending another tarry at Soul Cleansing Church in Queens New York, Rev. Adolphus V. Clinton received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Being fill with the Holy Spirit, he returned home at 4 o’clock in the morning and went to bed. In deep sleep Rev. Clinton had a vision, instructed by the Holy Spirit to convert the basement of his home into a ‘Prayer Room.’

Being frightened, he was hesitant in carrying out the revelation, at about 8 o’clock in the morning, the Lord appeared in a second vision telling him to follow him into the basement and there he saw the area cleared and transformed into a beautiful place of worship. There he saw an alter, three late candles, a white bible opened and a ray of light shining on a crucifix. When the vision passed, Rev. Adolphus V. Clinton being filled with the Holy Ghost, jumped out of bed and ran down into the basement to see what had happened and began shouting and praising God.

The transformation of the basement which was used as storage for Clinton Center Hardware, became a burden, because Rev. Adolphus V. Clinton had no where to storage the supplies for his hardware store, he continue to go into the basement to pray and meditate, crying out to God for direction and strength. A few days after the vision, Sister Maud Woewiyu stopped by the store, discussing the vision, followed Rev. Adolphus and Samaria Clinton into the basement, after altering a word of prayer, suggested to Rev. Clinton, that he move all of his hardware supplies on one side of the basement until a place can be found for proper storage.

Rev. Adolphus V. Clinton, filled with the Holy Spirit, after clearing the area, called some relatives and friends and revealed the message to them. Immediately, found an old table, some chairs, a white sheet, build a cross and prepared the area as was seen in the vision.

On February 19, 1994 the first prayer service was held with the following members present:
